Isn't it ironic the way that in the Pledge of Allegiance we are told to say "And to the Republic, for which it stands, one nation, under GOD..." How is it that our country has incorporated Jesus into one of the most famous "Pledges" yet our government doesn't want to incorporate religion into our laws and what not. Yes, many other nations abide by a religion based government and set of laws but apparently they're society isn't prospering as much as our nation is. The only difference that would be made if we were to mimic this notion of a religious based society would be that our main component would be the Christian religion, not a polytheistic. Religion has always been a question when it came to government and the establishment of laws. "The Lemon Test" created after the Lemon V. Kurtzman was a test the United States uses to make sure that religion was not established in laws. The Lemon V. Kurtzman trail was a conflict with the Public and Private school teachers. Apparently, Private school teachers were not getting paid as much as the Public school teachers which then was deemed unconstitutional.
LEMON TEST - "The objective of the lemon test is to question the law or statute to see if it establishes a religion, or inhabits or advances a particular religion."
